A Villager. A Healer. A Concubine. A Mother. A Queen. A Legend.
Jo Ann von Haff is a French-speaking Angolan writer. This is the first time she writes a novel in English.
The Author's note : « I started writing this saga as a hobby between two novels. It was never meant to be a serious venture, just a way to keep myself busy. But I grew to love Fiha and her personality, attached to what she could become. Since 2005, Fiha is a part of me. I am writing Fiha for myself first because I deeply love her and I don't want to let her go... »
In The Legend of Fiha Lodan, Rachel Wood, a young British journalist who lives in Paris, discovers a whole new world (literally).
Meet Fiha Lodan, a young orphan in a small village in the Mountains. In spite of being illiterate, very young, lonely and stubborn, she was the healer of the village since her father and her whole family died, four years before. Nothing prepared Fiha, whose name means 'apple', the fruit of wisdom and 'great spirit', to what was about to come. She would change the face of Dangh and Ordia, change Laari and Galani lives forever, with the strongest weapon of all times... She would become... a Legend.
